Meet Giordano, one of our junior z/OS system programmers, he started his journey on mainframe in September 2021.
Giordano will talk about his first impression of the platform, how he started taking confidence and how far can a newbie go in one year of mainframe.
He will give his advice to approach this technology and will talk about his day-by-day activities.
Come and learn about the project we have started in our company to enlarge knowledge of the capabilities of zsystems and to have in a near future our zsystems as part of our cloud on-premise.

I work in the Change and Release Management team. Our mission is the governance and the management towards a cloud oriented Data Center and the design and implementation of processes from a cloud perspective. I have 20 years of experience on mainframe environment. I have been nominated IBM Champion for the last four years.
In my career I have worked with the aim of improving data strategy and integration using virtualization, AI and data analytics technologies. Through my experiences I have helped to modernize the mainframe platform to address today's most pressing challenges. My work, over the years, has allowed me to look at the future with new eyes and this spirit still accompanies me today.
I work as a junior system programmer on z/OS at Sogei. I'm 21 years old and have one year of experience on the mainframe. My learning journey has just begun.
I graduated from an IT technical institute and I am now pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science at university.
I approach my daily work with positivity and a strong desire to learn, seeking to gain insights from my colleagues.
