Disk storage performance monitoring update. What can we see today in z/OS performance data?

(QV)

Stream: Storage Management
Time: 14:15 - 15:00

Presentation

The availability of storage performance monitoring data is constantly changing. Today we have classical FICON I/Os and zHPF sharing the stage with synchronous I/Os. Is everything running the way we want it to?

Some of the areas that we will look at are:

- How can we see deeply into what is happening and potentially who/what is causing issues?

- How can we observe our zHyperLink implementation?

- What additional I/O performance information is available from SMF 42 (Data set statistics)?
