Channels are a very important part of your MQ infrastructure. They reliably move messages between your queue managers, and allow your client applications to connect to queue managers. This session introduces the different types of channels that are availalbe in IBM MQ, and covers important topics such as securing your channels, keeping them running, and diagnosing problems.
Gwydion is a software engineer working in the IBM MQ development team, with broad experience of working with MQ on several platforms where MQ is supported, including of course, z/OS. He has over 10 years of experience designing and developing new features in IBM MQ and supporting MQ customers.
