Integration on the Mainframe: Events, APIs, and Data

(AV)

Stream: WAVEZ 101
Time: 14:15 - 15:00

Presentation

Have you ever wondered how a banking mobile app works? What about a website that calls information stored on the mainframe?

Integration is how mainframes communicate with other environments, such as cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, etc.), without extensive effort and hard coding.

This session will explore how events can trigger automated processes, how APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) allow different software components to communicate and share data, and how data integration ensures consistency and accessibility across multiple systems.

By leveraging these integration techniques, organisations can enhance operational efficiency, improve real-time data availability, and ensure a cohesive IT environment.

This session is designed for newcomers, providing a straightforward introduction to mainframe integration concepts and practices.
