Have you heard about CICS but not really sure what it is? Is it a new chocolate bar? Taekwondo move? New social media?
This session aims to demystify CICS for students to early professionals who have little to no experience in the mainframe sphere:
We will go through fundamental definitions and historical context to practical applications and real-world relevance.
This presentation will cover the basics of transaction processing mechanisms, resource management, and the integration of CICS with modern enterprise architectures (with a meme or two added in to help with the understanding).
By the end of the session, participants will walk away with enough base knowledge in CICS fundamentals and hopefully inspire you to move into this career path
