I’m a Principal Software Architect and Security Champion developing products for Broadcom’s Mainframe Software Division. I have a background in the controls and automation industry and over 25 years of experience in software development. I’m a passionate advocate for continuous learning and applied best practices, patterns, and principles in design. As an instructor, I’ve lead educational programs for key developers and architects. With engineers from around the world, I developed distributed systems deployed globally and am now excited to help modernize mainframe applications with secure APIs and comprehensive Cybersecurity and Compliance solutions.
JJ is a leader in global customer success, education and engagement strategies, program development, customer experience, and operations management with a track record of translating business and technology needs into results that help power impact and outcomes for our customers. JJ has over 25 years of experience in the information technology sector and is a 20-year veteran of the United States Armed Forces.
Chad Rikansrud is a Mainframe Security Researcher for Broadcom. He is an award-winning speaker, with appearances at: blackhat, DEF CON, RSA, SHARE, DerbyCon, and other local conferences. Most of Chad's 30-year career has been in technology leadership for the financial services industry where he has held various senior leadership positions, including worldwide datacenter operations, infrastructure and recovery responsibility, as well as enterprise-wide system Z storage. The last 10 years have taken him back to his hacker roots, in which he gets to literally hack mainframes and mainframe software for a living - performing mainframe security assessments, exploit development, and penetration tests on systems and software used by the world’s largest organizations.
