Time: 12:15 - 13:00
We’ve all been hearing about the z/OS skills gap probably just as long as we have been hearing about the demise of the mainframe. Yet, according to a 2024 study sponsored by IBM, Broadcom, and 21CS, there is plenty of young talent passionate about the mainframe. However, the key to closing the mainframe skills gap is not one simple solution. It involves both modernizing our software portfolio and procedures to make it more accessible for the next generation, as well as effectively attracting, training, and retaining this new workforce. During this session 21CS will share proven strategies that make a big impact in empowering the next generation of mainframers.
