Db2 System Profile Monitoring: This is what dreams are made of!

(FP)

Stream: Db2
Time: 14:15 - 15:00

Presentation

Do you dream of monitoring connections and idle threads at an even more granular level? Do you have nightmares about your Db2 threads running away from you? Starting with a real production problem, this session describes how to implement Db2 System Profile Monitoring to optimize and manage access by applications or clients using DRDA to interact with Db2 data. What is Db2 System Profile Monitoring? Introduced in Db2 9 for z/OS and extended in Db2 10 and enhanced in each subsequent release, System Profile Monitoring provides a variety of exciting capabilities: DDF control at a more granular level than the subsystem parameters allow, modeling production in test, managing application specific behavior, setting special registers and global variables - all available via online changes.  New in Db2 13 is support for local threads!  You can specifically monitor your system the way you dream!
