Weird and Wonderful Journeys to the mainframe

(K1)

Stream: Keynote
Time: 17:15 - 18:00

Keynote

“There are many talents and expertise that are important in a mainframe career and could directly contribute to your successes and/or growth.

Some of these are less obvious than others, and only with a breadth of experiences can we truly appreciate the importance of certain transferable skills.

For instance, what transferable skills does a shepherd have that could be valuable for an IT Consultant?

Or similarly, which competencies would a teacher be able to utilise if they became a Databse Administrator?

We will answer those questions, and others most obscure!

Niall Ashley and Elitsa Popova have taken the time to interview a variety of different mainframers and consolidate their advice into this presentation.

With testimonials from many people across Broadcom, IBM, GSE, Mainframe Society and WAVEZ, this session will have something for everyone.”
