Are you overwhelmed by massive system management performance data in the complex of mainframe systems?

This presentation provides you the basic principles for monitoring systems and application performance.

The author will walk through a simplified set of key performance indicators for z/OS, DB2, IMS, CICS, MQ, storage and networks, with use cases and scenarios.

The objective is to arm you with the principles of performance monitoring, you will be able to apply the same methodology to address daunting tasks and challenges with ease.

  • IBM, Executive Client Technical Specialist, AI Elite Acceleration Team Lih M Wang is an Executive Client Technical Specialist at IBM Technology Software Group. She has over 30 years of experience in performance monitoring and automation on IBM zSystems in the industry. For AI use cases, Lih has performed a variety of Proof-of-Concept projects with IBM development by taking client’s own data and showcasing the findings which could be detected to accelerate problem determination and prevention. Lih has co-authored two IBM Redbooks on AI Use Cases and Smarter Analytics. She is also a sponsor for IBM Z Customer Councils in North America, a GSE UK member and frequent speaker at SHARE and IBM technical conferences.
