We see a steadily growing importance of Application Developer (AD) teams when editing workload objects such as JCL, zWS Application Description / Current Plan or Control-M folders/jobs.
In this context, the AD tool-chain is also of particular importance, with which these objects are requested, created or deployed.
In this session, we will show how user groups from AD and Production Planner (PP) effectively bring their workflows together and how standardized workload objects are checked, generated and deployed with the help of ProcMan. The support of Rest API's is particularly important.
The customer examples refer to large banks and insurance companies in Europe.

Jens Bühring is an internationally recognized Consulting IT Specialist at HORIZONT for different product areas running on the mainframe. During his career he has developed expertise that spans application development on the z/OS platform, IWS z/OS administration, workload optimization and a variety of product and software trainings. Besides acting as solution architect Jens is focused in lifecycle management systems for mainframe workload objects like JCL, IWSz AD etc.. He is involved in many projects to help customers in Europe, to improve their business by taking advantage of the latest HORIZONT technology. He is a frequent speaker on these topics.
