Like death and taxes, you can be certain that multiple times per year, your manager will want an accounting of a software bill. These invoices are typically derived from MIPS or MSUs; but where do those values come from? CPU time. Performance Analysts spend their days dissecting CPU time; whether it is to tune a key application, validate internal chargeback, or audit last month's software bills. Attend this session as John cuts through the fog and translates these, commonly used but uncommonly understood variables. One hour of time here could save you countless hours next month and in the years to come.
