Stream: Courtyard Sessions
Time: 16:15 - 17:00
As mainframers’ are under an increasing amount of pressure to achieve sustainability goals, they remain challenged to improve application performance, reduce cost and consumption.
As sustainability has taken centre stage, they are exploring the latest hot topics such as generative AI, observability, predictive modelling, machine learning and edge computing and resilience.
In this session we explore why sustainability matters, what it entails, and how businesses and individuals can embrace sustainable practices to shape a more resilient and equitable future.
The mainframe sector plays a pivotal role in shaping our global footprint, from energy consumption to electronic waste generation.
By prioritising sustainability, we not only mitigate environmental impacts but also foster greater innovation and promote social responsibility within the industry.
The path forward requires a collective effort and a transformative approach, but the rewards are immense for the planet, for people, and for prosperity.
So let's save our planet, one mainframe at a time!
