(9L)

Stream: Virtual Room 9
Time: 16:30 - 17:30

Presentation

Today’s global, 24/7 economy demands business applications to offer continuous availability (zero service disruptions), but a lack of critical visibility into and understanding of the IT infrastructure makes this difficult to achieve.   IBM IntelliMagic Vision empowers mainframe sites to prevent service disruptions before they occur and utilize measurement data insights to lower costs and optimize business applications.   Learn how IBM IntelliMagic provides this vision both in your environment and on the cloud.

  • Jean-Marc van der Kolk at ?
  • I have worked in the mainframe space for the past 24 years. I recently joined IBM's Z AIOps product management team as one of the product managers for the IBM Z IntelliMagic Vision for z/OS products. I started my mainframe career, creating software to model virtual tape systems. I worked with experts at IBM to learn what was needed to understand the space and the technology. From virtual tape systems, I expanded to Disk Storage Systems, again working with experts to learn what was needed. Since 2008 I have expanded to learn about capacity planning and performance management at large mainframe sites, working with customers to create software that helps people prevent and solve issues affecting availability. My current knowledge covers a large part of the work performed by capacity planning and performance teams for large mainframe sites.
