Stream: MQ , WIT & Mainframe Audit
Time: 14:30 - 15:15
As mainframe experts approach retirement, early and mid-career women have unprecedented opportunities to advance into senior technical roles. But here's the challenge: by the time you get promoted, the critical decisions shaping your future systems will already be made. Technical decisions typically happen at the senior level, which means if you want to influence the mainframe environment you'll inherit, you need to start now. Whether you're aiming for technical leadership or simply want a voice in decisions that affect your daily work, this talk offers practical strategies grounded in real experience and validated by research. The session will explore how to identify critical technical decisions, build trust with senior colleagues, and learn techniques for successfully influencing outcomes.
