More horses mean faster deliveries - how Linux on Z is speeding up mainframe change

(SA)

Stream: Application Development & Network Management
Time: 11:00 - 11:45

Presentation

Z/OS is famously untouchable as a production engine - but sometimes the resources allocated for R&D, DevOps, even training, can be scarce. Yet elsewhere on the mainframe there is fantastic technology, and processors, waiting to be utilized. Showcasing the very latest in technical innovations, this session takes a practical look at how mainframe teams can leverage IFL and Linux resources to accelerate key elements of the mainframe SDLC and their application delivery cycle. We will describe how customers can multiply the number of annual releases simply by using what the mainframe has to offer in a more efficient, holistic way. For anyone in mainframe delivery, DevOps or looking to maximize their Z systems investments, this session will be illuminating and informative.
