Now that you have seen how Z Open Automation Utilities and Python play a vital role in automation and how you can use them to create your own Ansible modules, let’s look at what is available for IBM Z.
In this session we will discuss the Ansible for IBM Z content available and what happens when that is paired with Ansible Automation Platform (AAP). Learn how AAP can synchronize playbooks, host private collections, enable Ansible playbooks as REST endpoints, schedule automation, created complex workflows, manage credentials, respond to events and serve as the hub for automation.

Demetrios Dimatos is a Chief Architect for IBM Z focusing on Automation and Orchestration at IBM and a recognized expert currently overseeing Ansible for IBM Z. With over 20 years of experience, he has led engineering teams focusing on enterprise solutions including API design, distributed computing and scaling high-traffic applications. His work has been featured in the Association for Computing Machinery, Linux Journal and cited by numerous publications.
His interests are in optimizing processes, whether through Automation with Ansible or custom applications. His goal is to equip every user with the necessary tools to find bottlenecks and the knowledge to design the proper solution, increasing productivity and putting emphasis on development.
