Presentation

Life is not easy, things can be tough. Sometimes you get put into uncomfortable situations, situations you are not prepared for or situations where you do not know what to do or how to act. I hate to tell you that is life. You are going to face things that make you extremely uncomfortable and in life you will need to learn how to be comfortable in uncomfortable situations. These are essential life skills you learn if you take a martial art like Karate or Jiu Jistsu or boxing. As you are being pummeled or choked by a much better and sometimes bigger opponent, trust me you are very uncomfortable. Overtime though, you learn to hunker down, tighten up and ride these waves out. You wait for your moment and go on offense. This applies to life and quite frankly your career as well. You are going to have problems, how do you deal with them. In this talk we will discuss: • Having Grit and practicing calm • Viewing problems as opportunities • Handling Impostor theory • Knowing when to act and when to retreat
