Stream: Open Mainframe Project
Time: 12:30 - 13:15
One of the problems Zowe customers encounter is often how to get up and running. Whether it's a first time Zowe Explorer customer wanting to connect their VS Code extension, an existing one switch from passwords to certificates, or a z/OS system programmer wanting to get multi factor authentication or high availability with AT-TLS working with the Zowe Desktop. For this talk I'll draw on my experience helping everyone from colleagues, new to Z students, and customers get their Zowe environment up and running. During this talk we'll do live demos and take questions to make it interactive so people can bring their problems, and the slides will include numerous references for great sources of knowledge on configuration. We'll cover RACF as well as ACF2 and TopSecret, and there will be a particular focus on AT-TLS as well as keyrings as these are the most common areas where Zowe users fall down with a lack of knowledge or troubleshooting experience.
