Writing a test for a mainframe application is hard, automating it is even harder, especially if you are new to the world of mainframe. Many concepts may be unfamiliar and you may have limited exposure to the necessary tools. Galasa is an open source project that provides your automated tests with a set of "Managers" to allow you to focus on writing the tests, without needing to know the complexities going on underneath. In this session we will explain what Galasa is, why it was created, and success stories. We'll also provide a getting started guide, show how to write a Galasa test, and provide some background on embedding Galasa into CI/CD pipelines and installing a "Galasa service" to transform your testing.
