The aim of this session is to provide a technical introduction to Java and WebSphere Liberty, as well as how it runs under CICS. The content is aimed at mainframe programmers who are unfamiliar with Java. I will also cover the lessons I have learnt as a CICS Programmer on running CICS Liberty. Monitoring and performance tuning will be covered as part of this.
