Bridging the gap between Auditing and RACF Security

(3P)

Stream: Virtual Room 3
Time: 12:30 - 13:15

Presentation

Auditing requires rigour and diligence: For a system to be examined properly, the process cannot be rushed...
- But that doesn't mean that we can't help save time for auditors and security administrators alike!

Unfortunately parlance between these roles doesn't always match up, and it's hard to argue that Mainframe terminologies are clear and logical (RRSF is actually an initialism of seven words, who would have guessed?)

That's what this session is aiming to address.
We hope to find common ground between these two roles, so they can work harmoniously to achieve the joint-goal of a more secure z/OS System.

This session is primarily for two types of attendees:
1_ SecAdmin folks who seek to understand what is being asked of them and what the best way to fulfil requests
2) Mainframe Auditing folk who seek to know which questions to rephrase for clarity, which terms may not be specific enough, and what requests may not be as straightforward as hoped
