DevOps is about automating the process of getting your code from idea to production.
The dev portion of DevOps is about streamlining the process of creating, building, deploying and testing code at every level of the development lifecycle.
This is where a lot of people stop, with the dev parts.
Often missed is the Ops side of DevOps.
What happens once the code is deployed into production and Operations take over?
How does Operations handle the increased volume of changes coming into production?
How does operations handle communications back to development and make sure that issues are addressed in a timely and efficient manner?
All of these questions and more will be answered in this interactive discussion between DevOps and Operations.
We will discuss modern approaches to passing the baton to operations such as SRE, observability, automation, and process improvements to eliminate toil and waste while maintaining resiliency, improving quality and increasing velocity.
