Presentation

IBM has made significant advancements in modernizing mainframe development with tools like DBB, Wazi Deploy, and Git integration. However, many large enterprises still face challenges in fully adopting these tools due to issues such as steep learning curves, complex configurations, and a lack of centralized visibility, which hamper operational efficiency and slow time-to-market.

Kobee for z/OS is — an out-of-the-box, enterprise-ready DevOps solution designed to tackle these challenges. Kobee integrates IBM's DBB, Wazi Deploy, and Git into a seamless, fully automated workflow, requiring minimal configuration and training. This enables enterprises to unlock the full potential of their mainframe investments and accelerate their DevOps transformation with ease.

Beyond supporting the current IBM mainframe stack, Kobee also generates native JCL for compile, test, and production promotion. It can integrate with tools like Artifactory and SonarQube for testing and code quality, as well as Control-M from BMC for job scheduling. Kobee is a comprehensive solution that offers a powerful, unified approach to mainframe DevOps, helping enterprises streamline their processes and drive greater efficiency across their operations.

As a use case we will show how GMF Insurances from France, a long date user of Kobee, recently added a home made Kobee based deployment to Z/OS UNIX System Services (USS) for IBM- ZConnect .
