VIRTEL CPTO l 2025 IBM Champion l Wazi Deploy inventor | President of COBOL Guide Share France With an extensive background in mainframe and DevOps, Gatien Dupré is dedicated to driving innovation within these foundational systems. His journey in modernizing mainframe operations began at Société Générale (2014-2019), where he led the ZDevOps transformation project, integrating DevOps methodologies into mainframe environments. Following this success, Gatien joined IBM as a Product Manager, contributing to key products such as Dependency Based Build (DBB) and Rational Team Concert (RTC). He was also instrumental in the creation of Wazi Deploy, a cutting-edge continuous deployment solution designed specifically for Z systems, furthering automation and integration in mainframe development. In 2023, Gatien joined Crédit Agricole CACEIS as Senior Mainframe & DevOps Expert, leading the transformation of mainframe development practices by aligning them with DevOps principles to enhance efficiency, collaboration, and software quality. His contributions to the mainframe community were further recognized in 2024, when he was appointed President of the COBOL Guide Share France group, reinforcing his influence in shaping the future of COBOL and mainframe technologies. As an IBM Champion, he continues to advocate for innovation and best practices in the field. In February 2025, Gatien took on a new challenge by joining Virtel, further expanding his mission to bridge traditional mainframe environments with modern development approaches.
