Tanya Buchanan is an Engineering Manager at IBM in Poughkeepsie NY. In her current role she leads a team of Software Developers working on GDPS® - the premier disaster recovery, continuous availability and resiliency solution for IBM Z clients. In prior roles she managed a team of Hardware Developers and was a Senior Software Developer specializing in mainframe performance. She holds a Bachelor of Computer Science from Herbert H. Lehman College (CUNY) and a Masters Degree in Information Technology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Tanya’s hometown is Kingston, Jamaica. She loves traveling and spending time with her six year old son.
