One of the most significant challenges in adopting new technologies and techniques is ensuring the proper installation and configuration of the necessary software in the appropriate locations. Technologies such as Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift facilitate the deployment of applications by developers, but challenges persist in networking and making the applications accessible to the broader organisation. In this presentation, we will demonstrate how to deploy an API developed using z/OS Connect and subsequently integrate it into the hybrid cloud environment utilising Hybrid Cloud Mesh.
Andrew is the architect for z/OS Connect focussing on providing the ability for z/OS customers to unlock the data in their systems through modern RESTful APIs. He is also involved with open source maintaining several projects related to z/OS Connect and contributing to the Zowe project.
Outbound Product Manager, IBM Software Networking Jason leads outbound product management for IBM's application-centric connectivity solutions, joining his passion for helping customers optimize their application modernization journeys with a strong technical product background. Previously, he led enterprise application development at Amazon, ADP and JP Morgan.
Product Manager for API Integration on IBM Z. IBM Hursley Labs, UK Demelza Farrer is a Product Manager at IBM focusing on API Integration on IBM Z. She is based in Hursley and is currently responsible for IBM z/OS Connect, providing developer consumable interfaces to a business’s core data and assets unleashing the power of their business in the API economy. In her 22 years at IBM, she has taken roles across technical presales, critical situation management, service support and university programs connecting academia with IBM technology and expertise.
