Introducing ‘IBM Project Polaris’, the Next Generation z/OS User Experience that redefines how users interact with and manage z/OS as a platform, making it more intuitive and accessible while preserving the unique values and capabilities of z/OS Designed for early tenure professionals, this new experience helps to accelerate the understanding of and proficiency using the Z platform to enable new-to-Z users to perform meaningful, production-relevant work in months, not years. By embracing a multi-dimensional experience that encompasses a UI, APIs, CLI, and AI-at its core, this simplified z/OS user experience advances the entire z/OS management experience. With embedded AI assistance for contextual guidance and best-practice recommendations, users can perform complex tasks with greater confidence and less errors. Users can visualize and explore their system components with greater clarity and visibility, helping them understand where configurations apply and how systems connect. By leveraging industry-standard tools and interfaces that most users will already be familiar with, the reliance on IBM Z specific concepts and configurations is reduced, thus making z/OS more intuitive and accessible to all. Join us to learn more about the 'Next-Generation z/OS Experience’, and how you can get involved with shaping the new way forward. (IBM has formally announced a Statement of Direction for IBM Project Polaris, defining the Next Generation z/OS User Experience as the future of simplified, modern z/OS management.
