This session provides an overview of z/OS Communications Server's security features and offers a roadmap for securing TCP/IP on your z/OS systems. Come learn about TCP/IP-related access controls, IP layer filtering, integrated intrusion detection services, network security protocols and audit trail topics that you can use to lock down TCP/IP access to your systems.

  • Navya Ramanjulu is a Senior Software Engineer in the IBM Enterprise Networking Software group, IBM Z. She received a Master’s degree in Computer Science from North Carolina State University. Her areas of expertise include z/OS Encryption Readiness Technology, AT-TLS, z/OS Container Platform, z/OS FTP and System Resolver. Navya has 11+ years of experience in the z/OS domain.

  • Edward Seidl is a Back-End Developer in the IBM Enterprise Networking Software group, IBM Z. He holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Science and Computer Engineering from North Carolina State University. He is a developer for the z/OS Communications Server, and his areas of expertise include z/OS Encryption Readiness Technology and IBM zERT Network Analyzer. He has over 10 years of experience in the z/OS domain.
