Still using ISPF? In part 2 we will demonstrate using IBM File Manager for z/OS search tools to quickly find what you’re looking for. We will explore enhanced search of one or more data sets, PROCLIB and PARMLIB and the ability to navigate to ISPF view or edit sessions at the hit locations. We will look briefly at enhanced change - extending the search capability. We will also explore setting up and using the Indexed search - which provides a superfast word search of all your source data held in partitioned data sets.
I had 28 very enjoyable years working in z/OS system software development at IBM. Since joining HCL Software in 2017 I have worked in z/OS lab services and had the pleasure of helping z/OS customers with implementation, training and usage of IBM software products.
