Whether you have upgraded to z/OS 3.2 already or are considering it, this session may be valuable to you. When upgrading to z/OS 3.2, it's necessary to understand intended changes in functional behavior which were introduced in z/OS 3.2 and 3.1 including post-GA enhancements and other APARs. This presentation will focus on the findings on z/OS 3.2 and share with you “lessons learned” as well as “hints and tips”. After attending this session, enhancements and behavioral changes observed in z/OS 3.2 will no longer be a mystery and your deployment of new z/OS should be much smoother.
Shigeki Kimura is the technical lead for z/OS Upgrade (aka V2V) at IBM Japan. He is focusing on z/OS release-to-release migration and speaks at SHARE conference to share user experience from early testing. He has expertise in and deep knowledge of z/OS migration and has participated in key reviews of z/OS Migration book since 2006 collaborating with z/OS development team. Also, he has contributed his articles in z/OS hot Topics magazine since 2010. Shigeki has been with IBM for 40 years.
