This session will cover how we have implemented Ansible playbooks and ZOAU in our lab at PopUp Mainframe, some of the challenges we faced, and the benefits that we have seen. I will also describe how we have integrated the playbooks with our dashboard and how we enable customers with a shared github repo. Hopefully this will help give you some ideas for how you can implement Ansible in your own team, and why you might want to do that. We have built playbooks to do common z/OS tasks in the team, including: - Running a z/OS health check on a PopUp - DASD storage reports - Checking which versions of software is installed, and verifying if they are working - Validating started tasks - Installing software - Creating and deleting users - and many more...
