Cybersecurity and Data Set Encryption – Overview and tape data set deep dive

(AF)

Stream: Virtual Room A
Time: 16:15 - 17:00

Presentation

Encryption is the solid foundation of a layered cybersecurity strategy with data set encryption providing a simple, transparent, and consumable approach to enable extensive encryption of data at rest through DFSMS access methods without application changes. DFSMS continues to drive pervasive encryption use cases and value with support for additional z/OS data set types, including the latest support for tape data sets, and other enhancements to make it easier to utilize and manage data set encryption. The speakers will provide an overview of data set encryption, latest enhancements, and details and how-to for implementing tape data set encryption. A must attend session for security and storage administrators who are required to protect customer data!
