Planning for the 2018 conference is underway; we will return to the Whittlebury Hall Hotel once again but this time for 2½ days of intensive information across a broad range of topics.
As in the last few years we will be featuring some hands-on workshops, in both multi-session and short "drop in" formats. The agenda is still being finalised so please check back from time to time to see updates.
The call for papers has been sent out to all interested parties shortly. A copy of Call for papers and the vendor invite is available to view and/or download here.
Select this link and complete the pop up and we will add your email address to our mailing list.
We look forward to meeting you at the 2018 GSE UK Conference which will take place at the Whittlebury Hall Hotel on November 5th, 6th and 7th 2018. Please see the map alongside for the location of Whittlebury Hall and visit the various links in the menu above for further details about the conference and hotel.
These pages will be updated as the conference detail is planned, so please return from time to time to see the latest news.
The changes we have made to the conference web pages to support an extended agenda means that it is now unable to display an agenda in the previous format. Therefore, if you want information of the previous agenda or just a flavour of what the conference is like please take a look at the following pdfs of last year's agenda:
You can also see the ten recorded sessions from the 2017 Conference that are available to view on the GSE UK Region YouTube channel. While you are there please could you also subscribe to the GSE UK Region YouTube channel.
Every year speakers and delegates at the GSE UK Conference give donations to the charities we help by donating their speaker gifts and buying raffle tickets.
Last year we raised nearly £4000 that was split between Microtia UK and Cancer Research UK. Letters and emails of thanks were received from both charities and from QEF (Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation for disabled people) which was nominated by one of the speakers.
Our charities for the 2018 conference will be Parkinson’s UK and the Rainbow Trust and we hope that you will help us raise even more money for these worthy causes.
GSE UK Members get six free places to attend the conference. This covers registration, attending the sessions, entry to the vendor exhibition, lunch and refreshment breaks throughout the conference and the conference dinner and pre-dinner drinks on Tuesday evening.
For those new to the mainframe we plan to fund an additional 30 free apprentice or trainee places for GSE UK Members.
If you would like one, or more, of these places please contact firstname.lastname@example.org once registration opens.
Conference Packages are available for members and non-members to purchase a package of three conference vouchers at a discounted price.
