Due to the current COVID-19 crisis the GSE UK Region Manager and the UK Board have decided to postpone the GSE Conference at Celtic Manor to 2021. The provisional dates for this are the 2nd to 4th November 2021.
And Now the Good News
To replace this physical conference, we are planning to hold a free of charge virtual conference during November. The date and time of these virtual sessions will be shown on the conference agenda when they have been finalised and you will be allowed to register for each one individually.
Just like the physical conference if you provide feedback for the sessions you attended you can obtain a CPE certificate from MyGSE showing all the sessions you attended.
Call for Papers
The Call for Papers email has been sent out. We still need volunteers to present at the virtual sessions and so if you have an idea for one please contact the chairperson for the stream in which it would be most applicable. If you haven't received your copy it can be seen here.
This year as our conference charity we will be supporting "NHS Charities Together". This year, being a virtual conference, it has to be a little different. The conference is still happening but is free of charge to everyone, not just GSE UK Members. It will require a lot of effort from our team of volunteers to put on the conference of around 120 sessions over a two week period. Therefore, we hope that you will show your appreciation for this mainframe related education and the efforts of our volunteers and donate a small sum at http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/GuideShareEuropeUKRegion. As you will see below the charities you have previously donated to are very grateful for the help you have given them.
Select this link which will open in a new tab, complete the form and we will add your email address to our mailing list and send you the conference newsletter and notifications about future GSE events.

Every year the GSE UK Conference chooses 2 charities to donate raffle and prize money to. The 2019 Conference donated £2361 to Barnardo's and £2361 to Mencap. Barnardo's was chosen for the wonderful work it does protecting children and supporting young people ...
... and Mencap for their work in valuing and supporting people with a learning disability and their families and carers.
