We have introduced a "Chilli Scale" to the sessions on the agenda. This works in a similar fashion to the Chilli Scale you sometimes see in Asian restaurants to indicate how spicy a dish is, but in this case it is used to help delegates assess the level of technical complexity of the subject matter and therefore how much, if any, previous knowledge is required.
The levels are; -
No chillis |
Non technical |
No previous experience necessary |
One chilli |
Slightly technical |
Some knowledge of the subject area helpful but not necessary |
Two chillis |
Moderately technical |
Some knowledge of the subject area necessary |
Three chillis |
Highly technical |
A reasonable previous knowledge of the subject area preferred |
